B’s mom Tammi decided to try something different from the portrait studios and do an outdoor session for her little one’s first birthday. Here are just a few of my favorite shots.

I had a ton of fun during the shoot. Toddlers are FAST!

The outfits that Tammi brought along for her kiddos were adorable. The park was super busy that day, but B. did a great job and enjoyed his birthday balloons.

I hope you enjoy your photos; I know I enjoyed working with your beautiful family.

This photo makes me smile!

I just want to say a great big THANK YOU to Lynn and Chris for the chance to shoot over at Disney Boardwalk. I’ve been wanting to do a shoot there since before I even moved to Florida and launched KWP (Kristen Wynn Photography), so it was so great of you two to come out to my neck of the woods for a shoot.

We had a ton of fun and Boardwalk is just gorgeous.

The day was a bit chilly, but we made it through and luckily, it warmed up a bit by the afternoon.

Also, Lynn’s shoes and dress were really cute and made for a great twirling photo.

I can’t wait to shoot your wedding on July 3rd! We’re going to have so much fun! 🙂

Right before I left for Christmas and on New Year’s Eve Day while I was home for Christmas, I did some photo shoots. If we are Facebook friends, you may have already seen the shots, but I thought I would post them here anyway.

I had a ton of fun in downtown Pittsburgh. This bridge shot creeps my mama out because it looks like they are actually sitting on the side of it, but don’t worry, there is a walkway right beneath them.

I’m proud to have photographed my first wedding solo last weekend. It was an outdoor wedding and the ceremony ended up being after sunset, so it was quite a challenge. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity. I wanted to put the shots up here throughout this post. I loved the lace on Amanda’s veil and the way the light bounced off the inside of the party pavilion and warmly lit up everyone’s faces!Tomorrow, I have one more shoot in the afternoon for a family I met while volunteering for the school play. Then we’re going straight to the airport; I’ll edit when we land in Pittsburgh and get the photos off to Mrs. S and family.

Additionally, if you have Facebook, I have a Facebook fan page for my future business now, so please become a fan of my work if you’d like to stay abreast of sessions, discounts, coupons, and the like.

Over the past month, I did a few shoots to build my portfolio. I have had a lot of time to really pursue my hobbies. I wanted to show a few shots from the sessions.

First, J. was turning eleven! I drove out to her home a few hours from mine and captured her big birthday bash. Karaoke was the name of the game! The ladies dressed up and sang to their favorite tunes. I had a great time! 🙂

Then, over Thanksgiving weekend, I met the S. Family, visiting here from all parts of the country, actually! We had three generations gathered for the holiday, so we hit the beach and got some awesome shots.

Mrs. S. actually sent me a Christmas card with photos from the shoot that were used. That made my whole week! I love it! 🙂 What sweet people; we all laughed a lot.

I’m not a morning person; most people know that about me, haha. After working all day Friday on the photos from Sheria and Brittany’s shoot, I went to bed to wake up at 4:30am. I actually woke up before my husband for only the second or third day of our marriage!
I woke up early to head to a 5k run in Baldwin Park, so I had a bit of a drive. I wasn’t running but rather taking some photos for the race director, Chris.
Here are a few of my favorites. Also, I realized that I am super out-of-shape when I had to run to get a few shots. I took a shortcut through the race course, but these trained athletes still beat me!

Some people ran with their dogs, which was neat. There was also a kids’ race for the little ones.

I then edited all the photos and put them online last night for all the race participants to see.

I really enjoyed shooting this event and hope to do more in the future. It was a great challenge given the fast pace at the finish line!

I did a photoshoot the last week of October and just finished all of the editing. Sheria and Brittany are two college roommates getting into print modeling. They were in need of some photographs, so I traveled to their house in Avalon Park and met up with them after their classes. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.

I was a little concerned that there was a gator in this lake where I shot this close up, but it turned out to be nothing. 🙂

We had a ton of fun. I even got to meet their two adorable dogs. Chihuahuas are just so small and cute!
Hope you ladies love your shots!

I met Brandy and Kevin last weekend in Vero Beach for a family photo shoot to possibly use for Christmas cards and just to capture their moments as a couple. These newlyweds were enjoying a weekend getaway in Vero at a beautiful pet-friendly resort.

It was a bit windy and cool, and although the sun was very bright, I think we ended up with a lot of great shots.

Their dog Devin made me smile as well. She was so sweet.

It was great to meet you two. You photograph so well! And it is always nice to meet fellow newlyweds!

I can’t wait to see which photo ends up on your holiday cards. 🙂

I’ve been building my portfolio again and gaining more experience through free photo shoots in the area. Last weekend, a nice local family expressed interest in some portraits, so off I went to Orlando. This past weekend, S. and I headed up to Orlando and visited the Winter Park area. I had the pleasure of photographing Charlie and his parents on Saturday. I’d never been to Winter Park, so it was nice to see another area of town.

Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Charlie brought along some of his favorite toys, a train (fitting since we were near the train station) and some bouncy balls.

The day started off chilly, but quickly got sunny and warm. It was great to meet you three; your little boy is very adorable.

Last April, I did my first Florida photo shoot. I thought I would take some time and feature my first Florida customers here!

We’re back from our honeymoon! 🙂 Recap to come later with photos!

In the days before we left, I shot Jessica and Marc’s engagement photos, processed, and edited them, then shipped them off. They sent me a very nice note while I was on my trip saying that they liked the work, so I was happy. It was great to meet such a nice couple. These photos were all shot up in Cocoa at the beach parks up there on I Dream of Jeannie Drive. That street name makes me smile!

Anyway, I shot 375+, but here are some that I thought were the best of the bunch.

Here’s yet another look back to my second shoot, back in 2008. All my original text is in italics.
Last weekend, I shot the engagement photos of an acquaintance from high school (McKeesport, of course, notice the sign? lol). It was nice to meet her fiance and hear what she’s been up to the past five years.

Sarah actually met her fiance at work at GE…pronounced lovingly by those of us in PGH as “GineIggle.” Therefore, I found this photo totally fitting their story:

Anyway, it was bitterly, bitterly cold, but they were troopers. And the snow ended up as a light dusting, which made the scene very Christmasy!

Here are just a few of my favorites of the 319 shots they are getting for engagement pictures and as Christmas gifts for their parents.

As a side note, I have noticed that my favorite shots aren’t necessarily photos that the couples want. Sometimes, shots I really dislike will be their favorites and vice-versa, which is what makes photography so great. It is so subjective; there’s something for everyone!

Their wedding is in June…six short months away. Time flies, as they told me they have already been engaged for almost a year, and it has gone by so quickly. I’m just 2.5 months away, and I can barely believe it! 🙂

This couple has now been married for more than 6 months and are loving it! Time flies! Sharing my early work makes me a bit nervous, but it is important to see where I am coming from, where I am improving, and where I am headed to with my style.

I thought I would start this blog off by recapping some of my shoots from the past few years. Here is the actual post I wrote in my personal blog years ago on my very first shoot. I had just purchased a Canon Rebel, my first dSLR.

I had one camera, one lens, two batteries, no flash, and a whole lot of ambition. All text in italics is what I wrote at the time. 🙂

Wow, what a week! Last Friday, I ended up buying that used camera. And remember that spot for e-pics that I blogged about? I did them there, and in a bunch of other locations. Here are just a few of some of the ones that turned out okay.
It was great working with these two…great people. We had so much fun. This was my first shoot by myself, so I am so glad it worked out and I didn’t ruin it in anyway! What a relief!

And, just because they met in a class at the local Penn State campus…

So that’s where I started. I just went back through their photos and selected some for my website. I have different favorites posted on my site, so be sure to check it out. The fall colors really pop; it was actually freezing cold that day!

Thanks, Abbey and Mark, for being my guinea pigs back then. 🙂
