Nestled in the charming town of Dawson, just a stone’s throw away from Belle Vernon (where Mia and Benjamin grew up), Linden Hall Mansion exudes timeless romance. Mia and Benjamin’s enchanting wedding at this historic venue was a testament to their love for each other and their shared passion for the outdoors.

I have dreamt of owning an old mansion and transforming it into a picturesque wedding venue, so you know I loved this venue.

The ladies started the day at the hotel down the hill from the mansion and so did the guys. After some prep there, both parties moved up to the mansion. The guys are usually kept sequestered in the basement and the girls in the upstairs. After a few photos on the grand staircase, we headed outside in between rain drops for the first look. It was so windy and cold, but it was also “peak leaf” – the time of the year when the leaves are their best and brightest!

Mia and Ben’s love story, which began eight years ago in high school, blossomed over their shared adventures, including their engagement in the Outer Banks and their love for fishing.

Mia and Ben’s ceremony unfolded flawlessly outdoors. The backup plan was in the main hall of the mansion, but the outdoor ceremony space is beautiful with a long aisle. As they exchanged vows, a beam of light illuminated them, a touching reminder of Ben’s late mother watching over them from above.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered inside the mansion for cocktail hour. This mansion is a great photo location if it is raining – so few venues in Pittsburgh can say this! We would definitely recommend a first look here to take advantage of all it has to offer.

Ben’s forest green tuxedo and Mia’s uniquely adorned sleeves perfectly complemented the elegant ambiance of the venue, reflecting their aesthetic and style. As the evening progressed, guests were treated to a buffet dinner, treats from the giant cookie table, and lively dancing under the heated reception tent.

Note to the couple:
