What a delight it was to get to be Gabby and Travis’ wedding photographer! The forecast called for rain all day – but it didn’t happen! Gabby was bold and made the call to still try for an outside ceremony and that roll of the dice paid off – the outdoor garden at Bella Sera is beautiful!
The day started at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe in the Greene Room. All the ladies gathered together to get ready. Gabby had an incredible gown – I loved the little added sleeves. As a photographer, we love a long veil – but this shorter style veil fit Gabby’s style perfectly. I loved the chance to take photos on the staircase during this wedding!
After getting ready, we all traveled to Bella Sera – where Gabby and Travis did a first look and then portraits. We had a big wedding party – but these folks were organized and ready! Then there was some downtime for the couple to refresh before the outdoor ceremony which was officiated by their friend – he brought a lot of personal touches to the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the guests entered the garden tent for cocktail hour. Bella Sera always has excellent food! The reception featured a donut display instead of a multi-tiered cake. There were quite a few touching speeches – I loved learning more about this couple through the toasts.
As the sun set, the couple popped a bottle of champagne in the early evening light – a great end to the day.
