Rachel’s getting ready bridal style was so pretty – I couldn’t help but take quite a few photos with the soft palette of bridesmaids’ dresses hanging in the hotel room. The guys got ready down the hall as well at the Hampton Inn – Cory and the guys got ready together.
It was then just a short drive over to Mary, Mother of God Parish (but us locals all call it “St. Angela’s” as that is what it was for many years – this church is practically in my neighborhood). It was calling for 75% rain the entire day – and it was raining as we did our family formals in church. But that’s okay – we found a spot in the church with great light and got creative!
Then it was up to The Club at Blackthorne. This venue is newer and a nice gem out in Penn Township/Jeannette. It appears out of nowhere in a neighborhood of homes, but there are some great spots on the golf course and around the property for photos. We really lucked out – just as we stepped out of the party bus, the rain eased up and we were able to get all of their portraits done!
This crew knows how to have a good time! During introductions, one of the couples did the “football pass” intro and ran right into me – but we were both fine. I was just a bit embarrassed to be on the ground! But hey, all in the name of fun right? It got so warm that Rachel put her hair up in a ponytail to dance the night away!
