Rachel and Tyshawn met on Facebook dating right before the pandemic started! These two absolutely keep their faith central to everything in their lives and they really lived that out throughout the wedding day.

Rachel and the ladies got ready at the Wyndham in Oakland in a nice suite. Together, she and Ty have three kids – his, mine, and ours. The ceremony was an earlier one at Heinz Chapel, a 12:30 ceremony. Rachel and Ty kept the look classic, with black, ivory, pinks, and reds as their colors. The ladies prayed over Rachel before the ceremony.

Then we met up with the guys. Tyshawn had one of the best groom’s looks of the season – his ivory jacket with black lapel, gold belt, studded shoes, and shorter pants with a bit of a straight/wide leg on them – very fashion forward! The men prayed over Tyshawn as well.

Then they were down the aisle at Heinz Chapel, with their pastor giving a touching ceremony. Their pastor was so helpful – I saw him holding Ty’s son’s stuffed Sonic the Hedgehog at one point and also holding on to the card from the bride to the groom. Thanks, Pastor, for helping out!

We did photos in the garden at Heinz Chapel with the fountain and then on the campus at CMU Columns and around the grounds. Everyone danced up a storm at the reception, which ended at the perfect time for some AMAZING sunset photos right around the Wyndham with the couple.

It was an amazingly beautiful day and I am so honored to have worked with this sweet couple and witnessed the first day of their marriage!
