Megan and Michael actually got married back in the spring, just something very small with their parents. But now, it was October and time to have the big formal celebration.
I first met Megan and Michael at their engagement session and we had so much fun. It was nice to be able to meet my couple in person, since I don’t have the chance to do that much right now with the pandemic.
Anytime I see on my questionnaire that the bride or groom went to Grove City College, I know I’m going to be in for a lovely day. Grove City girls are always so kind and really living out their faith I their sweet spirits.
Let me tell you some of my favorite memories from the day – right before the ceremony, the men were on the other side of the curtain at Southpointe and suddenly there was a huge popping noise. I thought at first it was a champagne bottle being popped – but I actually think a ladder or something fell over! But it was funny as the men came out to the altar holding back laughs.
Speaking of champagne popping, Michael carefully brought his jacket out and folded it on a patio chair right before our sunset champagne pop photos. None of us (videographer, assistant, photographer) noticed it and Michael popped the champagne ALL over it. Luckily, it dried fairly transparent. Good thing those tux rentals are built to withstand a lot!
This wedding was sweet and simple on a Sunday and the October sun was gorgeous. Instead of dancing (which I am not a huge dancer either on the dance floor), the couple enjoyed dinner and a social hour outside on the beautiful patio with fire pits, lawn games, board games, and lots of relaxing and visiting. I love when people bring their unique ideas and personalities to the table.
Congratulations, you two. You are such a wonderful couple!
