Lauren and Ryan were a 2020 couple who postponed a year due to the pandemic – and that wasn’t the only change for them!
In addition to changing the date, they changed their venue and downsized their guest list. They also were officially celebrating an anniversary, as they got married in Colorado in Garden of the Gods last year on a chilly day.
Lauren describes herself as a bit indecisive, which was proven by the fact that she was on her THIRD wedding gown – but this one was truly beautiful and the right fit! Ryan’s family and friends would describe him as quiet, so that’s the perfect complement to Lauren’s more exuberant nature.
These two met through a mutual friend (long story short – it was a mutual friend through a wedding!) and have been together over six years! I loved hearing the story of their first date during the ceremony and witnessing their first look in a beautiful suite at the Renaissance. Lauren also gave Ryan some cool cufflinks with a personal message in Morse code – what a cool puzzle to decode!
We did photos downtown and at CMU, so it incorporated iconic Pittsburgh and some architecture, and then we headed to Celebrations for an intimate outdoor ceremony and reception. We were treated to a gorgeous sunset and sparkler exit while the dance floor was filled all night with their closest family and friends!
