We’re baaaaaaaaacckkkkkk! We went 126 days without photographing a wedding because of COVID-19. We still don’t know what the entire wedding season will look like, but Jenna and Donnie kicked things off with a scaled down event (guest list scaled down, not their joy!)

I know there are many ways to handle this pandemic and weddings – some people are doing a split plan, getting married now and the reception next year. Some are going full force this year. Some are postponing everything. Some are moving venues. Jenna and Donnie decided to just scale down their guest list to about 25 people and get married at their church, then had a beautiful tented reception in Jenna’s parents’ yard.

These two used to date back in middle school and then reconnected in November! They got engaged after just a few months of dating (because when you know, you know, and they’ve known each other their entire lives!)

These two are both teachers, so summer break was a great time to get married. They both got ready in their church and then we did photos around downtown Freeport – I love finding cool new spots to photograph. Sometimes, parks aren’t your best bet – sometimes it’s neat walls and alleyways!

These two had yard games and they bravely had their cake brought out the yard to cut. They also drove off in style in Donnie’s grandpa’s convertible – the same one they took to prom many years ago!

Note to the couple:
Jenna and Donnie, thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! It was a pleasure to work with the two of you! We thank you for choosing Kristen Wynn Photography and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness always. Congratulations!
