Elaine and George have been together since 2010 while they were both students at Pitt. They currently reside in Philadelphia. After weeks of cold weather, Elaine and George had a beautiful Saturday for their wedding.
Elaine and George both got ready at the Mansions on Fifth Hotel. Elaine chose to do her own make-up and following George’s greek heritage tradition, the best man presented Elaine’s shoes to her stuffed with money on a tray.
Not only did Elaine and George share cards with each other on the morning of their wedding, but they both wrote letters to their parents – such a sweet sentiment!
The couple did a first look and took their portraits around the Pitt campus before meeting up with the rest of their bridal party. We loved photographing Elaine as she knew how to work all of her angles! The couple had their ceremony at Heinz Chapel followed by a bubble exit.
We headed back to the Mansions on Fifth Hotel for the reception. Introductions took place in the main lobby, which is where the dancing also took place. The guests dined in three separate rooms – with Elaine and George eating each part of the meal in a different room so they could spend time with all of their guests. The maid of honor Rachel put together a special popcorn bar for Elaine. During the cocktail hour there was cheddar cheese and garlic parmesan and after dinner it switched to chocolate caramel and kettlecorn. The guests not only got to have wedding cake, but a macaroon tower and greek desserts were also available. The guests started off the party with the traditional greek money dance. As with many of our Pitt couples, they ended the night with Sweet Caroline in a circle with their guests.
Note to the couple:
Elaine and George, it was a pleasure to work with the two of you! We thank you for choosing Kristen Wynn Photography and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness always. Congratulations!
