I’ve been waiting to share this wedding – I don’t want it to be over just yet!
After posting a few sneak previews of the big day on social media last month, a few people messaged me to find out if this was a “styled shoot” – a styled shoot is a photo shoot done to showcase vendors talent and typically done with models. I was delighted to tell everyone that this was a real wedding with a real bride who did all of the styling herself!
Emily came to us through longtime client Stacey S, who was also a bridesmaid! Emily and Tim re-met each other on the T on the way home from work and they fell in love.
Before the ceremony, Emily and the ladies got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe. Emily’s gown had the most difficult buttons we have ever seen! But it was worth it – her gown was beautiful.
Emily married Tim in a ceremony at Bella Sera in Canonsburg with the reception immediately following. Before the ceremony, they shared a special first look.
The weather was a bit rainy, so we ended up in downtown Canonsburg to get some formals. Fortunately, the sun came out and we were able to use some of the styled items Emily provided for portraits on the grounds, including a vintage settee and oversized balloons.

Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour while the reception room was set. Emily spent a lot of time on her decor and floral pairings, including candelabras, candles, and greenery swags which lined their king’s table, giving an organic and Tuscan feel to the event space. The king’s table is a great alternative to the sweetheart table or head table – we are seeing more and more couples choose this option.
Emily is such a kind person – I loved learning more about her and Tim’s relationship and seeing their romantic first dance.
