Last summer, Kim and Jon had their engagement photos taken in Pittsburgh and after Christmas, they had their beautiful wedding!

This photo is a little more on the artistic side, but it is my current favorite for bride’s portraits!
The couple got ready separately, with Kim at the hotel and Jon at his brother’s home. The weather was just starting to warm up a bit, so there was still some snow on the ground, yet the temperature wasn’t frigid. We also were able to use the always classic CMU Columns to do formals, which shielded everyone from the wind.
I can say that this wedding had my most favorite family formals ever, due to the wonderful decoration and illumination of St. Paul’s Cathedral altar. The poinsettias and Christmas trees made any decoration in the church completely unnecessary – I’d love to do another holiday wedding here as it was gorgeous!
After a beautiful ceremony, we headed to the Greek Social Hall in Oakmont which is always very warm and inviting! During the reception, we were able to sneak out for just a few moments for some photos with Christmas lights and a requested image – a back-lit silhouette shot in the chilly winter air (which felt great after all that dancing).
Congratulations to a wonderfully sweet couple! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
